BrisSUP Coochie Classic 2021

BrisSUP Club proudly presents the Coochie Classic 2021

Please note the different launch point this year due to construction works at the usual park we have relocated this year: WH Yeo Park, south of the boatramp and watertaxi terminal at Victoria Point.

There are 2 course options available: SHORT (5km) and LONG (13km around the island).

The long course will commence at WH Yeo Park (water start) will then head towards the island (east of water taxi jetty) and then either be paddled anti-clockwise or clockwise around the island - TBC on the event day.

The short course will also commence at WH Yeo Park and will keep paddlers parallel to the main land and will also be fine for the less experienced paddlers. Short course paddler won't be paddling to the island this year - the distance would be too far to qualify for a "short" course and there is a long stretch of open water to cross to reach the island.

Registrations open 7:15am 
Race start is at 8:30am

Coochie Classic 2021 Race Divisions

Age divisions will be determined by the age you are on the 17th October 2021.

Race registration and payment will be through this website only. Please ensure you have also completed your SUP Club membership before race fee payment (if required) - day memberships can be purchased online as of Monday, 11 October 2021.
Online registrations close on Friday, 15 October 2021, 23:59. No late entries and no event day entries accepted.
To paddle in this event, you must be a member of one of the following clubs.

BrisSUP Club
4670 SUP Club
Sunshine Coast SUP Club
SUSinc Club
Alley Allstars SUP Club

For those paddlers that are not a current member of one of the above-mentioned SUP clubs, please support your local SUP Club to help support and grow the sport, or alternatively, take out a BrisSUP Club day membership for $10 through the Surfing Queensland online portal.  If you are not a member of a SUP Club it will be a two step process:
1. Join and pay for a BrisSUP Club membership, and then
2. Register for Coochie Classic 2021

Please note: BrisSUP Club is trying actively to reduce plastic waste. We are now providing ice-water in a 5l water esky - PLEASE BYO bottle to fill up!

In consideration of the acceptance of my participation at the Coochie Classic 2021 with the BrisSUP Club Inc.

• I waive all claims that I may have against the BrisSUP Club Inc, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, employees, agents and sponsors, or its executors, administrators, heirs, successors or assigns (the organisers), and release them from all claims for death, injury or damage arising out of my participation in their club, their event and its related activities, together with any costs, including legal fees.
• I agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the organisers against damage arising out of my participation in the events and its related activities.
• I agree to comply with all the rules, regulations and instructions of the organisers.
• In the event of injury or illness during participation, I consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable by the organisers.
• I acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and equipment during all the events and activities.
• I hereby permit the free use of my name and picture in any broadcasts, telecasts and the press including website as they pertain to the BrisSUP Club Inc. their events and activities.
• I understand that my membership or entry entry fee is non-transferable and not refundable.
• I agree to have my personal details recorded and used by the BrisSUP Club Inc. and related parties for further communications of future related events.
• I agree to comply with the latest COVID-19 regulations on the day.

LEG ROPES ARE COMPULSORY
